I use pyproj a fair bit. I find it to be nice and lightweight alternative/entry point to to big rather disgusting tools like GDAL and PROJ which can allow us to perform the simple task of converting the geospatial projection of a given set of coordinates from one standard projection to another. Form example: moving from Universal Transverse Mercator 20N WGS84 (aka, EPSG:32620) to Web Mercator (aka, EPSG 3857)
