import georeferenced image as template get blank image

Hi,

i have created a georeferenced image with SasPlanet using EPSG 3857, but when i decided to import in OOM as a template i get a blank image, i get the same behavior with QGIS.I don't understand why!

Help us out with details. Google says

SAS.Planet saves stitched images primarily in JPEG, PNG, GeoTIFF (TIFF), or BMP formats, often with associated georeferencing files (like .wld, .jgw, or .tfw) to ensure they are spatially located.

What file format are you using with SasPlanet? Have you checked the georeferenced image by viewing it using an ordinary, non-GIS app?

thanks for the reply.

I use the format Geotiff, i used the inbuild windows image visualizer and the image is ok.
If i import the template without use the Georeferenced option the image shows, but i have to select the dpi per meter option.

Sometimes a template is invisible because a discrepancy in the template CRS or the map CRS causes the image to be positioned far from the regular portion of the map. Mapper and QGIS can convert from one CRS to another OK. However, if they are given incorrect CRS information, then you will see a problem.

It's worth noting that EPSG 3857 handles latitude with a kludge which makes it disagree with true Mercator.

Alternatively, possibly you are experiencing issue #2470 "Fails to open geotiff due to unsupported format GrayFloat32".

if I create a new, not georeferenced, map and add the template, and choose proposed CRS (Custom PROJ.4) with proposed spec.

I can see the image in Mapper, so I assume it might be the localization issue that @pkturner mentioned.

So,
when i create image with Sas i use Google Satellite as a source, and when i have to set the CRS i have only that showed in the attached screenshot.
In the past i used only not georeferenced image and it works, but i don't know how to match the scale of the image created with 1:4000 scale of OOM..this is my real need.
Do you know how i accomplish that?

I don't use Sas, so I don't know about the right export settings.
Normally, an export in QGIS for example is independent of the map scale in Mapper.
Can you provide the map as well or at least a part of it? (and please consider deleting the undo steps before providing the map).

I created an empty map with UTM in zone 32 N and imported the .osm file for Tazzola.
Then I added the .tif you provided, used as CRS "From template file" and it was ok, see attached result.

at the end i discover the issue: when i export the image in Sas i forgot to provide the complete file of georeference info (in the last screenshot i use the compressed rather then complete file).
