Appimage fails to create window (CachyOS)

Steps to Reproduce

1. Try to run the appimage on latest CachyOS

Expected Behavior

Launcher launches an runs

Actual Behavior

blank window briefly appears but then disappears, this error is printed:
Could not create default EGL display: EGL_BAD_PARAMETER. Aborting...

System Info

• OS: CachyOS
• GPU: AMD RYZEN AI MAX+ 395 iGPU
• Rust version: not installed, using appimage
• Server version: Does not apply

What desktop environment/window manager are you using? I am on Cosmic via POP!_OS and it works fine for me.

Try adding LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libwayland-client.so and tell me if it works.

Thank you, that seems to have fixed it! I've added it to the menu entry and it launches perfectly now.

This is an issue with Tauri that they are currently working on (see here). If someone wants to add a temporal fix until Tauri resolves it, in this pr from gitbutler you have more info on the issue and how they fixed it.
