Harpoon fake tabs (workspaces) (done) (clever usage of :w ... and :e + tmux + tmux-resurect)
I noticed that when you open harpoon in the same dir location it gits a bit funky. So that's why before you close nvim always make sure to open harpoon and :w harpoon<tmux window number> so next time (if you accedently killed the tmux window or something) you can always open harpoon and then :e harpoon<num> and boom done.
To make this not suck as much on a computer reboot we use tmux-resurect but it's not mandatory if you feel like it.
Most of the projects you want need more than 2 or 3 workspaces.
We try to make it so that never ever have more than 5 harpons lines. If you need more than 5 -> Ctrl-b ctrl-c and that's it.
Also make sure that nvim tmux layout matches... always put nvim at the first tmux window.
An alternative is to use nvim built in tabs and just again use the same logic. But I don't know about that. maybe it might work maybe it may not work. I like tmux so it is what it is. (maybe I'll give nvim tabs a shot)
1 final notice:
I never used nvim tabs so maybe intead of tmux windows you can use nvim tabs (idk if it will work) Personally I like nvim windows because I have them mapped to alt+1234. And also can fzf on them.
I tested it:
With nvim built in tabs it sucks. But with tmux it works fine. having harpoon not sync buffer across tmux sessions is good.
In tmux you can instead of naming 1:nvim you give it name 1:todo:something_something so you remember and in tmux you can always fzf the tabs.
this way of renaming nvim tmux tabs makes it flexable so you can always have your alt+1 1:zsh so if you need quick temrinal. (I'm on i3 so I prefer meta+h to go to all the 1:zsh terms)
Sadly the :w harpoon idea doesn't work so you have to manually pf or whatever... touch like file and copy paste harpoon buffer in there maybe give it .hp for harpoon why not.

Something like this feels missing from harpoon.
Instead of adding boxes I did the following:
