How to pause and resume a torrent?

I'd like to be able to pause an active torrent, then resume it at a later point in time. In theory I could close the torrent then re-add the infohash, but this feels hacky. Also, torrent.close() is private to the package. Is there already a provision for pause/resume that I've missed?

I think you can use DisallowDataDownload and its obvious partner method.

Additionally new torrents will start out paused by default. Active reads or priorities are required to begin downloading.
