I'm trying to update the dtach package in the Nixpkgs repo, it would be nice if a new tag is created so we can pin that instead of 0.9 which was a while ago.

Nice, yes. But I suspect you can just reference a commit if you want a specific pin.

Thanks for the comment. We can do that, but it wouldn't be ideal. Nixpkgs uses a bot to automatically update packages once in a while, and it would be ideal to pin tags rather than commits for stability reasons.
