[picker.buffers] bufdelete action doesn't preserve list order

When closing a buffer from the buffers picker, which I do often, ideally the order of the list would remain the same so as I go through it the buffers I decided to keep open remain above the cursor and the ones I still need to check remain below.
But this is not the case and the entries jump seemingly randomly every time a close a buffer which is really annoying as then I have to start from the beginning of the list every time.

For example here the order of init.lua and lazy-lock.json switched after I run bufdelete (<c-x>) on lazyvim.json

Can this be configured with a picker setting or is it a bug/intended for some reason?

From the docs the only sorting option available is sort_lastused which defaults to true and I haven't changed so I don't see why the order isn't maintained.

I'll just quote dpetka2001's comment from #2037 (reply in thread):

There's also the limitation of the buffers picker that it actually shows the real buffer in the preview and this affects that lastused changes when you preview the buffer. Maintainer has acknowledged it as won't fix and this was the intention if I'm not mistaken.

Oh damn I missed that. I hadn't even realized the issue existed outside of the bufdelete thing. And the fact it's expected seems like a pretty bad design choice imo. In any case, I'll try out your solution, thanks!
