I have an error running goxray-gui.

systray error: failed to register: The name org.kde.StatusNotifierWatcher was not provided by any .service

Installed from the apt registry following instructions in the README file
goxray-gui version: 0.0.9

Hi, are you trying to run the program using sudo? This is not recommended, you should provide the net capabilities and run the program normally.

Yes, I provided net capabilities like that:

sudo setcap cap_net_raw,cap_net_admin,cap_net_bind_service+eip /usr/bin/goxray-gui

And then ran the program without sudo, but the error still occurs, and UI is not running

Seems like your desktop environment has issues with how fyne handles UI: fyne-io/fyne#3248

So, the problem is in i3 which doesn't support StatusNotifierItem. i3/i3#2088

I switched to xfce and it works. It appears in the tray, but it there is no app icon:

Probably there should be less reliance on system tray. After adding a connection url the only way you can enable connection via sys tray context menu, you can't do this in window app. Same with disconnect.
It would be nice if app could run without sys tray at all and function properly.

Also opening configuration window without resizing it leads to weird element positions:

Unfortunately, system tray interaction is the primary way to control this app and it is intentional (#4). UI is based on fyne and there is not much I can do system-wide.

I will try to test it with xfce, but I promise nothing on that matter, because I don't use hacks or any system-specific stuff for UI and I heavily rely on fyne to handle these :(

I have the same issue with dwm. But other apps work with systray just fine. Like qBittorent and golden-dict.
