catkin_make ERROR

Hi,
When I make catkin_make, I get that error. I am using ROS Jade

vrep_ros_plugin should be compiled in RelWithDebInfo or Release mode

When I make catkin_make I get the same problem and I also use ROS Jade. Could it be the reason?

Are you sure that the the variable VREP_ROOT_DIR is pointing to the right folder?

Hi,
I'm just a beginner. I stored VREP in the root directory and renamed it as vrep_edu. Also I add:
export VREP_ROOT_DIR= ~/vrep_edu
in the end of the file bashrc. Is it right?

Can you write in a terminal:
ls $VREP_ROOT_DIR/readme.txt and tell me the result?

Remember to do the source of the bashrc with:
source ~/.bashrc
or to open a new terminal

ls: 无法访问/home/wangzihua/readme.txt: 没有那个文件或目录
It means "unable to access /home/wangzihua/readme.txt：don't have that file or directory"

That path in $VREP_ROOT_DIR looks wrong. Can you check it in the bash?
What result do you have doing echo $VREP_ROOT_DIR?

There is no response when I doing it:
wangzihua@PC-wang:/catkin_ws$ echo $VREP_ROOT_DIR
wangzihua@PC-wang:/catkin_ws$

I add:
export VREP_ROOT_DIR= ~/vrep_edu
export ROS_PACKAGE_PATH=${ROS_PACKAGE_PATH}: ~/catkin_ws/src
source /opt/ros/jade/setup.bash
source /home/wangzihua/catkin_ws/devel/setup.bash
in the end of the file bashrc, is it wrong?

Is there a space after the = in export VREP_ROOT_DIR= ~/vrep_edu?

Try to put
export VREP_ROOT_DIR=/home/wangzihua/vrep_edu

I do it and I can use "ls $VREP_ROOT_DIR/readme.txt" to find the path of the file readme now. However, when I try to make catkin_make, the error is still exist.

The path is still wrong, CMake it is looking at /home/wangzihua/readme.txt instead of /home/wangzihua/vrep_edu/readme.txt"

Try to delete build and devel, source the bash and run catkin_make
