Hi NMRiH Team,
After the recent NMRiH 1.15 update, I can no longer start the Windows Dedicated Server.
The server fails immediately on startup with the following error:
“The procedure entry point Plat_IsWOW64 could not be located in the dynamic link library ...\bin\steamclient.dll.”
I have already performed a completely clean installation of the Dedicated Server using SteamCMD:
app_update 317670 validate
This was installed into a new, empty directory with no Metamod, SourceMod, plugins, custom DLLs, or any files copied from my previous server installation.
The same error still occurs on this completely clean installation, so it does not appear to be caused by third-party plugins or old server files.
I also ran validate again and SteamCMD completed successfully, but the problem remains.
The versions included with the current AppID 317670 installation are:
bin\steamclient.dll — FileVersion 10.87.82.64
bin\tier0_s.dll — FileVersion 10.26.00.34
bin\vstdlib_s.dll — FileVersion 10.26.00.34
The error only started after the recent 1.15 update.
Could you please check whether the current Windows Dedicated Server build (AppID 317670) has the correct and matching Steam/Source runtime binaries?
It looks like there may be a version mismatch between steamclient.dll and the other Source Engine runtime binaries.
Environment:
Windows Dedicated Server
AppID: 317670
Clean SteamCMD installation
No Metamod / SourceMod / third-party plugins
Windows 11 64-bit
Thanks!
