Hi DHH and the Omarchy crew,
I'm Guy Hutchins, a 73-year-old retired electronics tech/musician in Half Moon Bay. Omarchy made coding agents first-class citizens, so my agents and I built the one thing they still wake up without: memory. We'd like to give it to you.
Omnemo (https://github.com/GuyMannDude/omnemo, MIT) is one local memory shared by the agent CLIs on the box. Save something in Claude Code, recall it in Codex. It is built only from Omarchy's own extension points (skills, user plugins, hooks), so it isn't a fork or a patch. It is the Omarchy-native sibling of Mnemo Cortex, which has been the production memory of my five-agent fleet since March 2026.
What we re-tested on Omarchy 4.0.4 (Oct 9, 2026):
examples/crash_demo.pykills the server mid-session and the memory is still there.omarchy updateruns, shell restarts and a theme switch, and the MCP connection survives. What we built but did not re-test on 4.0.4:
To try it: set a default agent (
omarchy default agent claude), open it, and say "Install Omnemo — follow INSTALL.md."The offer is simple: take it, test it, change it, include it with Omarchy if it fits, make it yours. It's MIT. If you want it closer to the core, we'll happily do the work or send a PR.
Thanks for building a Linux that treats agents as citizens. Memory is king.
