Instead of a full dual-boot, would it be possible to keep only the absolute minimum required structures on the internal SSD (stub + credentials/boot policy) and move the main macOS install to an external drive? The goal is to maximize internal SSD space for Omarchy. When a firmware update is needed, I could plug in the external drive and boot into macOS temporarily.I understand Apple Silicon has no true external boot and that machine-owner credentials currently require an internal install, but is there any path toward a lighter internal footprint (especially once SEP support matures)?Curious if this is something the team has considered or if it’s blocked by platform limitations.
I really want to use my lovely M1 macbook pro for Omarchy only and use the full SSD (or most of it) for omarchy only.
