I work with BOMTOBE on Orke, a desktop workspace for Claude Code and Codex, so session recovery is a useful boundary to compare. When switching sessions, can the panel show repo/worktree, branch, and dirty-tree state? After restart, what resumes versus only appears in the list? |

Disclosure first: I'm one of the people behind Sqwakie, and I'm sharing it here because Codex is one of the two agents it's built around.
The problem it solves: on a team, everyone runs several Codex and Claude Code sessions across laptops and build boxes. The agents can't talk to each other, and nobody can see what they're all doing.
What it does with Codex:
walkie hooks install codex(notify hook + MCP tools).walkie_ask,walkie_inbox,walkie_answer,walkie_post,walkie_readand more as MCP tools, or the same verbs on the CLI. A question from your agent reaches a teammate's agent directly. Hooks report status at zero token cost and deliver asks to an agent at its next tool call. How machines connect: daemons talk peer to peer over QUIC (built on iroh) and replicate a signed, append-only team log, with no Sqwakie server in the middle. No VPN, account or open port. Already on Tailscale? A team can run over your tailnet instead.
Try it:
curl -fsSL https://sqwakie.si/install.sh | shmacOS on Apple Silicon and Linux (x64, arm64; Windows through WSL2). It's a v0.2 pre-release.
Free for up to 2 people and 4 machines with unlimited agents; paid plans are per person and agents are free. The source is on GitHub under FSL-1.1-ALv2 (source-available; every version becomes Apache-2.0 two years after release, so not OSI open source today).
Feedback from anyone running several Codex sessions at once is very welcome, and I'm happy to answer questions.
