Request: Add "Find in File" (Search Within a Single File) Feature in Mobile App Now that searching within a repository is supported on the GitHub mobile app, it would be incredibly helpful to also have a "Find in File" feature when viewing individual code files. Currently, there’s no search icon or text search functionality in the Action Bar when browsing a file, which makes it hard to locate specific lines or keywords, especially in large files. Adding a simple search (Ctrl+F equivalent) would greatly improve code readability and navigation on mobile. |

Right now the GitHub mobile app doesn’t fully support find-in-file on all platforms. |

This is still very much needed, especially on Android. At the moment: For a lot of us, being able to search within the currently opened file is essential when reviewing large files on the go. It's not really something the community can solve with more "context" – it needs product work on the GitHub Mobile side. Could this please be tracked as a feature request (rather than just a "Question"), and can the dormant bot stop nagging threads where the only thing missing is GitHub implementing the feature? Until there's proper "Find in file" support on both iOS and Android, this discussion is still relevant, and we'd really appreciate an update from the mobile team. |

If you are on Android or finding the iOS implementation difficult, use these steps: Mobile Browser: Open the repository in your mobile browser. Tap the browser's own menu (three dots) and select "Find in page." Desktop Site: In your mobile browser, toggle "Request Desktop Site" to use the standard GitHub search shortcuts. |

Now that it's possible to search within a repository from the mobile app, can you also add the find feature in a single file, when browsing the code?
Currently there's no search icon in the Action Bar when viewing a file.
