I need support. I am writing to report a critical billing issue with my GitHub Copilot account that requires immediate investigation.

ISSUE SUMMARY:
Starting this month (February 2026), I have noticed an alarming 30% spike in my premium request usage. Upon reviewing the "Premium request analytics" dashboard, I discovered that the model "Auto: GPT-5.2-Codex" has been used extensively, despite me never selecting or authorizing this model.

CRITICAL PROBLEM:
I exclusively use Claude Haiku 4.5 for all my Copilot interactions in VS Code. However, I am observing that:

Every time I submit a question to Copilot, BOTH the Anthropic (Claude) model AND the GPT-5.2-Codex model usage increases simultaneously
I have never manually selected or configured the GPT-5.2-Codex model
This concurrent usage pattern suggests a potential system error or fallback mechanism that is incorrectly billing my account

EVIDENCE & DETAILS:
Unexpected 30% spike in premium requests this billing cycle
GPT-5.2-Codex model showing significant usage in analytics dashboard
Usage pattern: Every Copilot query increments both Anthropic AND GPT models
Location: Settings > Premium request analytics

REQUEST:
Immediate investigation of this unauthorized model usage
Review of my premium request logs from February 1-4, 2026
Clarification on why both models are being charged simultaneously
Credit/refund if this is a system error on GitHub's part
Prevention of further unauthorized charges
This appears to be either a billing system bug or a fallback mechanism that is not functioning as intended. I request urgent attention to this matter.

This is new scam done by GITHUB recent days, since yesterday every calls makes additional 60 Claude Haiku 4.5 requests deducted from the premium. It's time to move away from copilot, and what terrible fact is their support non-existent, no response to my ticket since two weeks.
