Getting Auto-Rejected

Hi everyone,

it appears that I am getting auto rejected by the application system. I am eligible for the Education account but get rejected pretty without proper explanation. All I get is a generic email answer - auto rejection.

In the last application I supply proof of registration for the semester from the university, to the same result. Feels misleading and impersonal.

Common reasons for auto-rejection in GitHub Education, even with valid documents:

• Document quality — blurry, cropped, or low-resolution images get flagged automatically
• Unverifiable school email — if your .edu (or equivalent) email isn't recognized in GitHub's system, it raises a flag
• Using a personal email — you must apply with your official university/school email address
• VPN active — applying through a VPN can trigger rejection
• Document language — if your enrollment proof isn't in English, try adding an English translation or use a different document type

What to try on your next application:

1. Use your official university email to log in before applying
2. Disable VPN completely
3. Upload a clear, well-lit photo of your enrollment document — all text must be readable
4. Make sure the document shows your name, institution name, and current enrollment date/semester
5. Try a different document type if available (student ID card, official letter, etc.)

Mention that you've submitted valid proof of enrollment and are receiving automated rejections — a human reviewer can manually approve your application.
