How do I cancel my GitHub Copilot subscription and get a refund?

Hi,
I signed up for GitHub Copilot a while ago but I no longer need it. I want to cancel my subscription and if possible, get a refund for the remaining period.
I've looked through my account settings but I'm not sure about the exact steps. Can someone walk me through how to cancel and whether a refund is possible?

Here's how to cancel your Copilot subscription:

Go to github.com → click your profile picture → Settings
In the sidebar, go to Billing & licensing → Licensing
Under "GitHub Copilot", click Manage subscription → Cancel subscription
Confirm the cancellation — you'll keep access until the end of your current billing cycle

If you also want a refund, you'll need to contact GitHub Support:

Go to https://support.github.com/contact
Select Billing & Payments → Copilot
Follow the prompts — the Virtual Agent can sometimes process a refund immediately
If not, keep following until you can submit a ticket to a human agent
