How to change previews/s #165

Hi, thanks for the screenshot, it shows what's going on. Previews/s is only how often the picture in ScoreSight's window refreshes. It's about once a second on purpose, so the computer's time goes to reading the boxes. It doesn't slow down the readings. Those are taken at Updates/s (4.7 in your screenshot, from the default Detections / s of 5), and each one goes to your outputs as soon as it's read. Your screenshot shows it: the picture still has the clock at 3:09, but the Time box already reads 3:08. The reading is newer than the picture. To see what your graphics actually get, open http://localhost:18099/json in a browser, or watch the overlay itself. If you want the clock to change sooner, raise Detections / s (under All boxes in the Box tab), as long as the status bar's Reading x/s keeps up. That said, a jumpy picture is unpleasant to work with, so I'll add a smooth preview option in an upcoming version: the picture will refresh several times a second, for computers that have the CPU to spare. You mentioned the template video doesn't have the problem: which source do you mean? With a video file the picture also refreshes once a second. |
Uh oh!
There was an error while loading. Please reload this page.
Hi, while videos are supported very well in ScoreSight, video streams are read only once a second so it seems it is lagging. This updates the information almost in realtime but not perfectly. This happens with all sources apart the template video.
Is it possible to edit the previews/s field to increase precision?
I tried that by using screen recording of the video player, where I opened the template video and here is the same problem: the video isn't smooth.

Thanks in advance.
