I just started using the multiroom setup from the Sony music center app but what bums me is that only Spotify works with the speaker groups and that too only on premium account. For YouTube music, the Sony app tells me to use the Google home app to create the speaker group but with recent changes from Google, Sony speakers stuck on Chromecast v1. 36 are no longer visible in the Google home app.
I found this interesting project and i see that there is story for creating and destroying groups but no option for passing an audio stream to the created groups. It will be great to have this because if (when) Spotify drops support for the songpal multiroom, no stalking platform will be usable with these speakers for multiroom playback.
