Only engine change between v0.8.0-pre.13 and v0.8.1 is core/storage/wal.rs, which re-snapshots nbackfills after acquiring the checkpoint guard instead of reusing the value captured before the lock. No Ahtola engine change is needed: SqliteWalWriterCheckpointCoordinator already reads BackfilledFrameCount fresh at the point of use rather than caching it before acquiring checkpoint locks.
