A comprehensive, project-agnostic code review and quality gate guideline for AI Coding Agents.
This repository contains the central configuration to turn your AI Coding Agent (Cursor, Google Antigravity, Claude Code, Windsurf, etc.) into a strict Senior Tech Lead and Principal Architect. It acts as an intelligent Pre-Commit Code Auditor, inspecting all AI-generated code changes prior to committing or merging.
The AI is instructed to evaluate any code change against 12 battle-tested pillars:
- Issue Patterns & Bug Prevention
- Performance, Parallelism & Concurrency
- Idempotency & System Resilience
- Rate Limiting & Throttling
- Memory Management & Garbage Collection
- CPU & Compute Optimization
- Asynchronous Processes & Background Workers
- Ruby on Rails & Basecamp Architecture Conventions
- Cloud, DevOps & Infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker)
- Observability, Distributed Tracing & Structured Logging
- Data Privacy (PII), Multi-Tenant Data Isolation & AI/LLM Safety
- Documentation & Exhaustive Testing
This repository provides templates for both Cursor and Google Antigravity.
- Copy the
.cursorrulesfile to the root of your project (or set it up as a global rule). - Point it to the
RULES.mdfile (or keep a local copy). - The next time you ask Cursor to review code or generate a feature, it will automatically enforce these 12 pillars.
- Copy the
SKILL.mdto your~/.gemini/config/skills/tech-lead-code-reviewer/directory. - The agent will read this skill automatically whenever you request a code review.
Please read the RULES.md file to see the full, detailed breakdown of all 12 pillars and the exact prompt given to the AI.
