SCAN scan is fully purple in IVA displays

It doesn't matter whether it's DE, DE+MAS or KSA, when i swith to see the scanned map, some spots are purple, other times it's fully purple. No idea what could be causing this, never happened to me before.

Update: turns out it's completely fine in sandbox mode, i haven't tried science mode yet. Career definitely has this issue.
Edit 1: Fully upgrading all facilities in career does not help the purpleness.
Edit 2: Science mode is also purple.

This looks a lot like the resource overlay. One of the buttons on the MFD should turn it off.
