Pull request overview
This PR implements Phase 1 of an OpenClaw-inspired context window management system for the Phantom Neural Cortex project. The system provides real-time token tracking, automatic pruning, and AI-powered compaction of conversation context windows, with support for multiple AI models (Claude, Gemini, GPT-4, Ollama).
Changes:
- Implements context management system with ~1,500 LOC across ContextTracker, ContextPruner, ContextCompactor, and ContextInspector classes
- Adds ~530 LOC of test code across 4 test files with partial test coverage
- Adds comprehensive documentation (CONTEXT_MANAGEMENT.md and PHASE_1_ABGESCHLOSSEN.md)
- Updates configuration with context management environment variables

The method name is incorrect. The actual method in ContextPruner is named 'prune_tool_results', not 'prune_tool_outputs'. This test will fail when executed because the method doesn't exist.

The documentation states 'test_pruner.py (160 lines) - 5/8 tests passing', but based on the code review, at least two tests have critical method naming errors (prune_tool_outputs vs prune_tool_results, prune_to_target vs prune_to_threshold), which means the actual passing rate is lower than claimed. The test failure reason is not just 'naming-mismatches' as stated elsewhere but actual bugs in the test code.

The test coverage claim states '18/28 tests passing (64% coverage)' but the documented breakdown shows test_inspector.py has '0/6 tests (formatting)'. However, the actual issues with test_inspector.py are not formatting issues but rather incorrect method names (get_inspection vs get_inspection_data, format_compact_result vs trigger_compaction). This misrepresents the nature of the test failures.

The claims about what 'OpenClaw hat das nicht' (OpenClaw doesn't have this) cannot be verified without access to the OpenClaw codebase. Making comparative claims without evidence could be misleading. Consider rephrasing to focus on the features of this system rather than making unverifiable claims about another project.

The REST API endpoints documented here expose context state (including full item contents in inspection/detail responses) but the current implementation does not enforce authentication or bind session_id to a specific user/tenant. Any client that can reach the backend can call these endpoints with an arbitrary or guessed session_id and read or manipulate another session’s context, leaking potentially sensitive conversation and tool-output data. Update both the implementation and this documentation so that context endpoints require strong authentication/authorization and associate session_id with the authenticated principal before exposing detailed context data.

This REST API section exposes context management endpoints as providing "vollständige programmatische Kontrolle" but, in the current implementation, they are callable without authentication and rely only on a client-supplied session_id. Any client that can reach the backend can invoke these endpoints to inspect or modify another session’s context, leaking conversation and tool-output data. Update both the implementation and this documentation so that context endpoints are protected by strong authentication/authorization and session_id is scoped to the authenticated user or tenant before treating this as production-ready.
