[Feature] Sorting columns in markdown tables #2461

Description

@summer600

Initial checklist

  • I agree to follow the code of conduct
  • I searched issues and discussions and couldn’t find anything (or linked relevant results below)

Problem

I'm using Plumio, which uses Milkdown as editor component for markdown. Since I switched from Onenote to Plumio I am missing the table sort feature that Onenote has.

I have a table of movies, tv-series, and books I still want to acquire, and for the Movies I sometimes sort them on Title, or release year. It would a really nice if Milkdown could support sorting markdown tables on columns.

Solution

The addition of sorting of markdown tables. Either an editor button like the add column, or a right-click menu that allow the active table to be sorted on the column the cursor is in. Sorting either Ascending or Descending.

Alternatives

I first thought not to ask here, but sorting in any othr way is not possible unless you sort on the first column. I could copy the table markdown to a text editor like Notepad++ and do the sort on lines there but that is not really an alternative :-)
