I think this would need to come from Athena rather than the metadata API right?

Yes, and I think Felipe does something like that already.

Just to keep in mind though: we do NOT recommend Athena for any automations / recurring processes, it's not a stable programmatic source.
Victor has currently scheduled the warehouse API for end of October.

The data sharing is usually not that (time) critical, so can in principle deal with Athena downtimes / changes (as long as errors are flagged for resolution).

Yep was more concerned about the sync delays but for metadata this shouldn't be an issue
