Note
cibuildgem can release gems without authentication using the RubyGems trusted publishing feature.
Trusted publishing
You can setup RubyGems trusted publishing by following the RubyGems guide.
This is an example to setup trusted publishing on a gem
Setup a GitHub release environment
The last step before being able to publish gems directly from GitHub is to set a release environment. This is required by default unless you modified the cibuildgem.yaml workflow generated by the cibuildgem CLI.
Head to the https://github.com/<change_with_your_repo>/settings/environments/new, and create a new environment named "release".
That's it! Cibuildgem will now be able to publish gems without having to authenticate
