Plan-Build-Run

Context-engineered development workflow for Claude Code, Cursor IDE, GitHub Copilot CLI, OpenAI Codex, and Google Jules.

Plan-Build-Run (PBR) keeps your main orchestrator under ~15% context usage by delegating heavy work to fresh subagent contexts, each getting a clean 200k token window. All state lives on disk in .planning/. Sessions are killable without data loss.

Works in Claude Code, Cursor IDE, GitHub Copilot CLI, OpenAI Codex, and Google Jules with shared .planning/ state -- start a project in one, continue in another. Four derivative plugins (cursor-pbr, copilot-pbr, codex-pbr, pbr) keep platform-specific formats in sync automatically.

v2.0.0 at a Glance

Component Count
Slash commands 41 (/pbr:*)
Specialized agents 14 (each with terminal color coding)
Hook scripts 49 across 16 event types
Skills 28
Shared skill fragments 12
Derivative plugins 4

Additional capabilities in v2.0.0:

  • Dashboard -- Vite + React 18 web UI with Express backend and live WebSocket updates for browsing .planning/ state
  • Status line -- Real-time project state in Claude Code's status bar (phase, plan, context budget)
  • Hook server -- Persistent HTTP server with circuit breaker for high-throughput hook execution
  • Local LLM offloading -- Route mechanical hook inference to Ollama, keeping API costs near zero
  • Agent colors -- Each of the 14 agents has a branded terminal color for visual identification
  • Branded statusMessages -- Every hook displays a "* PBR: ..." status message in the Claude Code UI
