I would like to see Sumo Logic provide an official OpenTelemetry or Classic Collector package for Synology DSM.
Synology already supports forwarding DSM logs, and apps like Active Backup for Business can forward syslog as well. Today, the practical workaround is to send those logs to a separate syslog server or manually install/configure a collector over SSH. A native Synology package would make this much easier to deploy and maintain.
I built a working community package as a proof of concept, but long-term maintenance, updates, trust, and signing are better handled by Sumo Logic. If Sumo provided an official package, users could install and update it through Synology Package Center with a much cleaner and more trusted workflow.
