LiteRT-LM 0.11.0 did not provide a working NPU path: the app treated chip-specific artifacts as portable, lacked Android 17's NPU declaration, and stored models where the Tensor driver could not read them. This updates LiteRT-LM to 0.17.0 and makes new Local Platforms use Auto acceleration, preferring a validated NPU target before GPU and CPU while preserving existing manual selections.
The APK packages version-matched Google Tensor, Qualcomm, and MediaTek dispatch runtimes plus required notices. Runtime selection exposes only the matching vendor library. Chip-specific model replacement requires confirmation, preserves the previous artifact until the replacement is verified, and never replays a failed chat automatically. New downloads use internal storage; existing external models remain readable and migrate only after a size- and SHA-256-verified copy.
The catalog adds the public Gemma 4 E2B Tensor G6 artifact with its runtime-reported 4,096-token limit. A catalog revision prevents an older hosted snapshot from hiding a newer bundled device variant.
