First AI-gateway post (dated Jul 12). The gateway pattern: one credential and one OpenAI-compatible endpoint route to any provider, no key sprawl, no SDK sprawl.
Tested live: the same /chat handler on a Neon Function answered 'Paris' through gpt-5-nano, claude-haiku-4-5, and gemini-2-5-flash with the same injected credential (real token counts included). New companion repo: github.com/The-DevOps-Daily/neon-ai-gateway-demo (bobbyonmagic, fully tested). Documents two real gotchas found while building: the max_tokens vs max_completion_tokens split, and dash-not-dot model IDs.
Interactive: neon.ts + fetch snippets, an animated terminal of the three-provider proof, a warning callout on the gotchas, and a github card. OG generated, validated.
