- At first I was going to say that this visualization was bad, because it looks visually overwhelming at first look (aesthetic quality), there are a lot of colours and connecting lines that overlap each other. However these colours are coded in a legend at the top via develepmental goal.
- This visualization is also interactive which changes the shape and visual depending on the settings you choose. You can look at each specific development goal (i.e. lessening poverty, water sanitation, and gender equality) and it singles out and shows those units only, you can further break this down via development level (low to high), continent and even specific countries. This makes the information more visually digestable and shows the level of complexity and accuracy that the data can demonstrate (substantive quality)

- I thought it was a bad visualization because the data points were not clearly labeled and overlap each other, with the addition of different sizes representing higher summed amounts. It is a lot cognitively to remember. In class, we talked about working memory and the design of this visual definitely takes up my working memory that I found it difficult to learn the new data it was demonstrating (rare chart type vs. familiar)
- The legend was also not clear, particularly for the hockey subtype, since it was the same colour text as the instruction text. An important factor to visualization is having a reliably usable legend, with text that is thick enough/large enough or coloured accordingly.

- This visual could be improved by potentially making the demographics also a drop-down menu so that not all are shown at once at the beginning (reducing cognitive load - concise composition)
- Also having very distinct colours, because some colours are similar it can be confusing to differentiate the development goals when looking at them all at once. Distinction is important to understand similarities and differences between variables, potentially a gradient might be better to clump similar development goals in similar colours, rather than randomly.

- This visual could be improved by using a simple bar or line chart like the right side of the visual limiting the clutter and confusion from the left side (having that clear layout I spoke about earlier)
- Having a clear legend not within the instructions would be good as mentioned above.
