Instead of a webdriverio 8→9 migration: neither webdriverio nor electron-chromedriver is imported anywhere in altair-electron. The only reference is e2e/index.old_spec.js, a dead spectron-based spec that uses neither. Removing them drops a large vulnerable transitive tree.

Also adds @types/node: catalog: to altair-electron so vite's optional peer resolves to the catalog version rather than a transitive @types/node@26, which otherwise produced duplicate vite types and a TS2769 error in electron.vite.config.ts after the lockfile refresh.

Verified: pnpm bootstrap 22/22 and electron tests (6) pass.

Stacked on #3347; rebase after earlier PRs merge.

Summary by Sourcery

Clean up unused development dependencies and refresh related tooling and deployment configuration.

Enhancements:

  • Remove unused Electron WebDriver dependencies and add the catalog-managed Node.js types dependency.
  • Refresh development tooling dependencies across the workspace, including Nest CLI, web-ext, and Wrangler.

Build:

  • Update the dependency lockfile and remove unused root development dependencies.

Deployment:

  • Update Cloudflare Pages deployments to use the current deploy command.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Chores
    • Updated build and deployment tooling across the web, API, browser extension, and desktop packages.
    • The Pages deployment workflow now uses an updated deployment command while keeping the existing output location and project configuration.
    • Removed some development-only tools from the web and desktop packages, and refreshed tooling versions in several packages. These changes affect the project’s development and release setup; no end-user-facing feature changes are noted.

**Firefox verification cannot launch**

When a fresh pnpm install is followed by running the documented Firefox verification script, `bin/run_ext_firefox.sh` invokes `./node_modules/web-ext/bin/web-ext`, but `web-ext` is declared only in `packages/altair-crx` and pnpm does not expose it at the repository root. The executable is missing, so the script exits instead of launching Firefox.

Restore the root `web-ext` dependency or update the script to invoke the executable from `packages/altair-crx`.
</issue_to_address>

Sourcery assessment

Needs a human reviewer. 1 finding to address first, and the Pages workflow now uses Wrangler 4’s pages deploy command instead of pages publish; if the new command or its configuration deploys incorrectly, it could disrupt the published site. Reverting restores the prior workflow, but the affected deployment would still need to be corrected or redeployed.

🟡 Medium · Firefox verification cannot launch

When a fresh pnpm install is followed by running the documented Firefox verification script, bin/run_ext_firefox.sh invokes ./node_modules/web-ext/bin/web-ext, but web-ext is declared only in packages/altair-crx and pnpm does not expose it at the repository root. Restore the root web-ext dependency or update the script to invoke the executable from packages/altair-crx.

Keep web-ext available to the Firefox helper.

bin/run_ext_firefox.sh runs ./node_modules/web-ext/bin/web-ext from the repository root. The root package no longer declares web-ext, so a clean pnpm install does not guarantee that path. Keep the root dependency or update the helper to use the altair-crx workspace binary.
