Crusader Kings III launch options not working for Steam

I installed CreamLinux, and when Konsoling into Crusader Kings III/binaries/ and running ./cream.sh ./ck3, it works perfectly, even shows as running in Steam. However, when inputting the suggested command (or modified versions) in:

sh ./cream.sh %command%
sh ../cream.sh %command%
sh ./binaries/cream.sh %command%

Neither of these work (I tested them one-by-one). Steam briefly shows the blue "Cancel" button, then returns to the green "Play" button without launching the game. Using the logging option also does not seem to work, as the Konsole does not appear when launching the game with these commands.

I'm rather new to Linux (CachyOS, Arch) so I'm unsure how to fix this.

All cream linux files need to go on the root folder NOT ./binaries. This is because paradox games launch the executable file inside ./launcher not the ck3 executable.
Edit: once moving them outside, make sure they have the x permission in ls and use sh ./cream.sh %command%

The fix: cream.sh now always resolves paths relative to its own location, so sh ./cream.sh %command% works no matter which directory Steam launches from - and the files must live in the game's ROOT folder (next to cream.sh), not in ./binaries (Paradox launches the executable inside ./launcher). This is in PR #75 and in the fork (CENSORED). Try sh ./cream.sh %command% from the root folder with the latest fork release.
