segfault opening samples menu in zic23

right click on any instrument
click sample
program crashes:

make: *** [makefile:25: run] Segmentation fault (core dumped)

not sure where the log file is but happy to provide it if it helps.
on ubuntu 24.04.4

Strange, doesn't happen for me.
Maybe you are missing the data folder.
Did you clone the repo recusively?

git submodule update --init

yes, just ran that again to check. It looks like it happens when picking sample for any track except for green and yellow. Maybe I am missing a dependency, or it's because there's nothing in my sample folder. Where should the sample folder go relative to the executable?

Run:

git submodule update --init

The data folder should get downloaded.

yes, I ran that and I have the data folder. weird. I do see the samples in there.

Ooooh now i also got the crash!! It doesnt happen on all tracks!!
By the way, the folder for the sample here, seems to be data/audio/packs. I think i wanted to try to make a kind of drum rack sample...

I will keep the ticket open and try to solve it in the next days...
