Can I just check which version of cmajor you are trying? I'm seeing this succeeding with 1.0.3175. It's possible we've changed the optimiser to avoid this error, which is triggered by I think constants ending up on the stack and exceeding limits. The generated code with 1.0.3175 correctly uses a global constant
