Claude Code Send Email Skill

A Claude Code skill that enables sending emails via the Resend API.

Installation

1. Get a Resend API key at https://resend.com (free tier: 100 emails/day)

2. Set environment variable in your shell profile (~/.zshrc or ~/.bashrc):

   export RESEND_API_KEY="your_api_key_here"

3. Copy the skill to your Claude Code skills directory:

   mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills
   curl -o ~/.claude/skills/send-email.md https://raw.githubusercontent.com/csmoove530/claude-code-send-email-skill/main/send-email.md

4. (Optional) Edit ~/.claude/skills/send-email.md to set your default recipient email.

5. Restart Claude Code or start a new session.

Usage

Simply ask Claude Code to send an email:

• "Send an email to john@example.com with subject 'Hello' and body 'How are you?'"
• "Email me a summary of this code review"
• "Send a notification about the deployment"

Configuration

Edit ~/.claude/skills/send-email.md to customize:

• Default Sender: Change from onboarding@resend.dev to your verified domain
• Default Recipient: Set your preferred email address

Notes

• The onboarding@resend.dev sender is Resend's test address and can only send to the email associated with your Resend account
• For production use, verify a custom domain in Resend
• Resend free tier includes 100 emails/day and 3,000/month
