D2 cannot upgrade to the latest parity fixes because Go rejects the repository's module archive: its included source exceeds the 500 MiB limit. Root regression fixtures account for most of the roughly 629 MiB source tree.

Add an empty testdata/go.mod, following the Go module reference, to omit that test-only directory from dependency archives. Every fixture, oracle helper, and visual comparison remains in Git. The README explains that the full regression suite requires a Git checkout.

Validation passed at 6e1f21f3dc2b7d407afd7eedb7f597f488f3effd: full frozen-oracle tests, race detector, vet, WebAssembly build, and all four hosted CI jobs. An actual go mod download with the checksum database enabled produced a 15,691,066-byte ZIP containing 66,393,446 uncompressed bytes. Two independent reviews verified all 672 archived files against their committed bytes and extracted module files. Runtime packages, embedded Mhchem data, licenses/provenance, and retained internal fixtures remain unchanged and included. All runtime packages build successfully from the downloaded module.
