Documentation for Service Principal connections

Is there documentation available how the service principal needs to be created in Azure. Can I use the "default" service principal that is created together with the workspace? If so what value from the resulting connection asset goes where?

Maybe we could help creating SPs through Automation Studio by providing a GUI for the user instead of having to run a Powershell script?
