I am a software engineer. I have shipped software since 2007, mostly with React, TypeScript, Phoenix, and Elixir. I care about the small things that decide how an app feels: components, error states, and microcopy.
I run Seriously Serious, a small software and games company.
- TaskFlow is one task board for people and AI agents. You can use it from the web, the desktop, the terminal, or MCP.
- Infinite Threads lets you describe a graphic and wear it on a shirt.
- Void Runners is a co-op twin-stick roguelike for one to four pilots, made in Godot.
- Deep Line is a 1-bit fishing game for Playdate. You turn the crank to reel in fish.
- realworld: a full-stack Medium clone with Next.js and Ruby on Rails.
- storybook-addon-apollo-client: mock Apollo Client queries in Storybook.
- storybook-addon-next-router: use the Next.js router in Storybook.
- live_style: atomic CSS-in-Elixir for Phoenix LiveView, inspired by StyleX.
I also send fixes upstream. Recent ones are in DEC64, Misty, and Vitest. Over the years I have also worked on Storybook, Ash, Redux, React on Rails, AngularJS, and Backbone.
I write on lifeiscontent.net:
- How MasonryKit is built
- The component manifesto
- Elegant error handling in Phoenix LiveView with Ash
- Understanding protocols in Elixir
