A Spring Boot-based RESTful API for managing tasks with user authentication, JWT security, and CRUD operations.

Getting Started

Prerequisites

• Java 17
• Maven 3.8+
• (Optional) MySQL if you're not using H2

Clone the Repository

git clone https://github.com/lokhandesh/SpringBootTaskManager.git
cd SpringBootTaskManager

# Build the project
mvn clean install

# Run the application
mvn spring-boot:run

## API Endpoints

### Auth

- `POST /auth/login` – Authenticate user and return JWT

### Tasks (Requires JWT)

- `GET /tasks` – Get all tasks
- `GET /tasks/{id}` – Get task by ID
- `POST /tasks` – Create a new task
- `PUT /tasks/{id}` – Update task
- `DELETE /tasks/{id}` – Delete task

Authentication

All protected endpoints require a valid JWT token in the Authorization header:

Use the /auth/login endpoint to obtain a token by providing valid credentials.
