Describe the new feature you'd like
Add usage of Hostname resolution support in the Host Field
Describe the reason why you want to add the feature
i usually use Hostnames in my local Network to connect to my clients and services which reliably get resolved to their respective v6 Adress which is realy comfortable instead of having to handle adresses
Describe how to implement the feature if you can
Kotlin should allready have the respective implementation present in the standard Networking Stack using the InetAdress.getByName(hostname) or InetAdress.getAllByName(hostname) for more advanced discovery Androids Network Service Discovery can be used which can reslove mDNS etc.
Additional context
is Bro still working on here ? repo seems dead hope hes doing fine ...
as explained i typically use Hostnames instead of IPs which typically get resolved towards the respective v6 Adress which is as far as im concerned way more comfortable also with this a somewhat fallback usage is present if v6 cant be resolved v4 typically can
