Alberto Ceballos

Building technology for people who need it most.

From a Mayan family where entrepreneurship was survival, not a career choice. Biomedical engineer by training, tissue engineering researcher, self-taught in AI/LLMs. I build products that work for the entrepreneur just starting out and for the enterprise with sophisticated needs.

Now

Danil - The context layer for customer-facing AI. Connect your channels, describe your business, your AI employee works. 45 paying customers, multi-agent orchestration, serving businesses from tire shops to government institutions deploying 9 AI agents in Maya language.

maayataan - Open-source Yucatec Maya linguistic corpus platform for AI. Over 800,000 people speak Maya but almost no digital data exists for AI in our language. maayataan collects, validates, and structures text, translations, and audio for training AI models. The community owns the data. Built with Astro + React + Supabase.

Talent Angels - Mentor on a Linux Foundation Decentralized Trust mentorship project, part of the Learning Tokens Lab. We're building AI graph agents that reason over global skills taxonomies (O*NET, BLS, ESCO, Sweden JobTech) through Graph-RAG. Skills are the currency of talent, and demand for them now shifts faster than any worker, school, or employer can track. The project is agent-driven by design: mentees direct coding agents, review the output, and own the result.

Nihongo no Kotoba - Offline vocabulary app built on spaced repetition (FSRS). No points, no streaks, no rewards. Understanding the word is the reward. Progress is stored separately from content, so updating a course never erases what you learned. The engine is language-neutral and ships a Yucatec Maya fixture to prove it: the same app that teaches Japanese today could carry Maya tomorrow. Expo + TypeScript, works with no network.

Before

Mienvio.mx (exit) - Logistics management platform. Started serving single mothers selling online. Scaled to Microsoft, HP, Rappi, Konfio. Same principle I carry into everything: technology that serves the small and the large.

Metafinanciera - Director of Product for a group microcredit fintech serving underbanked women entrepreneurs. Saw that financing alone wasn't enough. They needed technology. That insight led directly to Danil.

What I believe

The people who need technology the most are the last to get it. AI is changing that. A single person with the right tools can build what used to take a team of 20. The barrier is no longer technical. It's access.

Most AI products are built for technical users. I build for the people who could benefit the most but have been left out: small business owners, artisans, entrepreneurs in communities where WhatsApp is the operating system of commerce.

800,000 people speak my language and almost no digital data exists for AI to work in it. That's why maayataan exists. If the data doesn't exist, we build it. If the community doesn't own it, it doesn't count.

Stack

Building with Astro, Svelte 5, Python/FastAPI, LangGraph, Supabase, Deno. Shipping on EC2 + Cloudflare Workers.

Using Claude Code and AI-assisted development as a core workflow, not a novelty.
