Summary

  • Lyric colors: switched from theme-dependent ANSI named colors to a faintly beige white gradient (redefined via curses.init_color, falling back to the xterm 256-color grayscale ramp, then the base palette). Fixes the dull/washed-out look and the greenish "past" lines that came from the theme rendering COLOR_CYAN as teal.
  • Click-to-seek: click a lyric line to jump playback to that line's timestamp (offset-aware), or click anywhere on the progress bar to seek to that fraction of the track. Mouse events via curses.mousemask; the row→timestamp map and bar span are rebuilt each frame.
  • Ctrl+C: wrapped curses.wrapper so quitting with Ctrl+C no longer dumps a KeyboardInterrupt traceback.
  • README: new screenshot showing the album cover, plus a recommendation to run in Kitty for the best rendering.

Test

  • Ran from source in Kitty against a live MPD; verified the beige gradient, clicking lyric lines, and clicking the progress bar all seek correctly.

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

- Lyrics now use a faintly beige white gradient (redefined via init_color,
falling back to the xterm grayscale ramp) instead of theme-dependent named
colors — fixes the dull/washed-out look and the greenish "past" lines.
- Click a lyric line, or anywhere on the progress bar, to seek playback there.
- Catch Ctrl+C so quitting no longer dumps a KeyboardInterrupt traceback.
- README: new screenshot showing the album cover, plus a Kitty recommendation.
