32-32: 🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick winProtect complete existing Markdown links.
The one-character lookbehind does not protect URLs inside link labels. For
[docs at https://docs.example.com](https://docs.example.com), the URL in the label becomes nested link syntax. This changes the existing Markdown link. Protect complete Markdown links before linkification, and add this case to the test.🤖 Prompt for AI Agents

(?<![(<[])rejects(https://docs.example.com), so a bare URL in parenthetical prose remains unlinked. Exclude only actual Markdown destinations instead of every URL after(. Add a parenthesized URL test.🤖 Prompt for AI Agents

532-532: 🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick winMask code before linkification.
When
strippedcontains inline or fenced code, this call rewrites URLs inside the code. For example,`https://docs.example.com`becomes code containing[https://docs.example.com](https://docs.example.com). Mask code spans before linkification, then restore them. Add regression tests for inline and fenced code.🤖 Prompt for AI Agents

Closing in favour of #2503 (TASK-374), which carries the same whole-URL linkify fix with a stronger trailing-parenthesis case, plus the PR-card fallback. polish's comparison and recommendation are in the Sharpen pod. |

TASK-306 — complete bare links in pod messages
The v2 message renderer used a lazy URL match, so a dotted host stopped at the first dot. The match now consumes the full host and path and leaves trailing sentence punctuation outside the link. Existing Markdown links remain unchanged.
The Markdown renderer also passed its parser
nodeobject into DOM<a>and<pre>elements. Both overrides now remove that parser-only prop.Verification
nodeDOM prop.git diff --checkpassed.UX Lead gate: inspect a pod message with a full bare URL at 1440 and 390; the whole URL should be clickable and a trailing period should stay outside the link.
