Welcome to the Glasscalibur wiki.

Glasscalibur is a smart opener for horizontal‑sliding windows, built on an ESP32‑C6 running ESPHome and a TMC2209 stepper driver. Control it from any web browser (no app, no cloud), pair it natively with Home Assistant, or automate it with built‑in schedules.

Use the links below — or the sidebar on the right — to find what you need.

Build & install

  1. 3D Printing — print the plastics
  2. Assembly — put the device together
  3. Window Installation — mount it on your window

Set up & control

  1. Wi‑Fi Setup — get it on your network
  2. Web UI — the browser control panel
  3. Motor & Stall Tuning — speed, current, obstruction detection
  4. Scheduling — fixed times or sunrise/sunset
  5. Security & Tamper — the anti‑tamper alarm

Throughout these guides, glasscalibur-XXXXXX is your device's unique name — XXXXXX is the last three bytes of its MAC address, printed on the USB serial log at boot and used as both the Wi‑Fi hotspot name and the .local hostname.
